Patrick Carl Lane Sr. Obituary

Patrick Carl Lane Sr., 59, of Dexter, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on November 23, 2025.

Born on September 19, 1966, Patrick was the son of Carl and Arietta Lane. He attended General Brown High School and went on to build a hardworking, dedicated life rooted deeply in family and community.

Patrick worked for McGrain Paper, Samaritan Medical, and Microtel before fulfilling a dream and finishing his career as the owner of his family business, Lane & Son’s Trash Removal. He took tremendous pride in his work and was known as the man who “knew everything”—if you needed an answer, Patrick had it.

If you knew Patrick, you knew where to find him: in his backyard or in his garage, surrounded by tools, projects, and the familiar comfort of home. He was an avid hunter and loved taking the kids fishing, creating memories that will be carried for generations. Patrick cared for his mother with absolute devotion, loving her with everything in him. Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren endlessly, and they were the center of his world.

Patrick is survived by his six children: Destiny (Shawna) Lane of Evans Mills, Patrick Lane Jr. of Dexter, Christian Lane of Dexter, Nicholas (Abby) LeClair of Rutland, Skyler LeClair and his companion Kira Tibbles, and Ashley LeClair and her companion Zach Hefenfinger.

He is also survived by his siblings: His brother Francis (Lynn) Tierney of Lafollette Tennessee, and his sisters Kevin (James) Houghmaster of Watertown, Melody Lane of Watertown, Poppy Lane of Adams. Patrick also had several Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his mother Arietta Lane, his father Carl Lane, and his sister Theresa Tierney.

Patrick’s presence, guidance, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
