Murray D. Majo, 83, passed away on March 6, 2024, at his home in Theresa, NY.
Murray was born on July 12, 1940, the son of the late Bruce and Helen Savage Majo. He graduated from Watertown High School. After leaving school, he did an apprenticeship at the New York Airbrake. He also worked at PE Heavy Military in Syracuse, Fishercast in Watertown and then for General Motors in Massena until the plant closed. He spent the remainder of his career as a truck driver for Ranger Trucking in Watertown until his retirement. During his years as a truck driver, Murray traveled through 48 states, Mexico and Canada.
Murray enjoyed fishing, boating, motorcycling and was highly active in car racing locally. He was married three times.
He is survived by his children: Scott Majo; a step- daughter, Donna DiPasquale; two nieces, Ellenmarie Majo, Elizabeth Higby; a nephew, Gordon Majo; his brother Dale Majo, and several grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents, a sister Fay Majo (who died at birth), and his brother Terry Majo.
Per his wishes, there will be no services. A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Dexter Cemetery.
