Lois A. Schultz, of Dexter, New York, passed away peacefully at her home on November 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 17, 1935, in Lorraine, New York, the daughter of Harold and Ella (Shelmadine) Porter.
Lois graduated from Adams High School and married Howard Schultz on June 6, 1959. Together, Lois and Howard took over Howard’s parents’ dairy farm on Perch River Road, which they operated for 20 years until selling it in 1979. During that time, Lois also worked at Faichney’s in Watertown and later spent many years as a waitress at Friendly’s in Watertown.
Lois enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, baking, watching TV game shows, playing cards, dining out, and going for drives. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and devotion to her family.
She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Bruce and Amy Schultz of Dexter, NY, and James and Kathleen Schultz of Palmyra,Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Kristen Austin, Palmyra, PA and James "JD" (Jaclyn) Schultz, Crestview, FL; 5 great-grandchildren, Miranda, Maycee, Wyatt, Patrick and Riley; her beloved sister and brother in law, Betty and Larry Clark, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Howard Schultz; her son, Dale Schultz and brother, David Porter.
Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. The burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Perch River Cemetery.
