Linda Typhair Obituary

Linda S. Typhair, 64, of Evans Road, Dexter, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on August 4, 2025.

Born on April 18, 1961, in Watertown, Linda was the daughter of Donald and Ida (Vincent) Fairbanks, Sr. She attended Watertown High School and later married the love of her life, John Typhir, on July 22, 1978, in Watertown. Together they built a home filled with love and laughter until his passing on July 5, 2009.

Linda devoted much of her life to raising her family, who were truly her greatest joy. After her children were grown, she worked at various house cleaning jobs, most recently at Ontario Village Apartments, Watertown until retiring due to ill health.

Linda was a kind, gentle, and caring soul who found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed knitting, playing games on her tablet, and card games, but what brought her the most joy was spending time with her beloved grandchildren and family. She had a special gift for making those around her feel loved and cherished.

She is survived by her mother, Ida Vincent of Watertown; her daughters, Amy Typhair and her companion James Shawcross, Jr. of Dexter, and Jennifer and her companion Eric Ames( also known as a******) of Watertown; her son, John Typhir IV, of Watertown and his significant other Jennifer Labrie of Calcium; and two children who reside on Mill St.in Watertown, to whom she lovingly opened her heart as a mother. Linda is also survived by several grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, her siblings Donnie and Barry Fairbanks, Christine Crandall, and Mel Shanahan, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She is also survived by her loving companion Snuggles, the dog.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, John, and her father, Donald.

Per her wishes, Linda will be cremated, and there will be no calling hours or services. A private burial will take place in Dexter Cemetery at the convenience of her family. A Celebration of Life will be announced on Facebook at a later date.

Linda will be remembered for her warm heart, her devotion to her family, and the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
