Jose Ramon Moreno Crespo

Jose R. Moreno Crespo, 68, of Watertown, NY, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2024, at Samaritan Medical Center. He was born on May 28, 1957, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, to Ramon and Sonia Moreno Crespo. Raised in Puerto Rico, Jose attended school in Anasco, PR before moving to the United States as a teenager.

Jose began his career as a chief engineer at Boston Medical Center, where he dedicated 15 years of service. His career spanned several fields, including hotel management, delivery driving for Montilio’s Bakery. In 2003, Jose and his brother, Angel, moved to Watertown, NY, where he continued to work at the Samaritan Medical Center, Best Western, and most recently at the Holiday Inn Express.

To know Jose, was to know his laughter. He was known for his joyful spirit and his love of making people smile. Everywhere he went he made friends. He enjoyed working, playing dominoes, pool, cards, and spending time socializing with family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Shilo Moreno, of Mendon, MA; his stepson, Jo’Vohn Dupree, of Mendon, MA; close friend and mother of his son, Dale DuPree, of Mendon, MA;  his brother, Angel L. Moreno, of Watertown, NY; two sisters, Delhia Moreno, of Springfield, MA, and Anita Gonzales, of Puerto Rico; his beloved niece, Sonia Fitzgerald, and her husband, Michael, of Long Island, NY; His nephew Angel L Moreno Jr., of California and his beloved great nephews, Adrian, Ronan, and Leo. 

In addition to his parents, Jose was predeceased by his brother, Sandy Moreno, and his sister, Carmen Rosado.

In accordance with his wishes, Jose will be cremated, with burial to take place in Anasco, Puerto Rico.
