Janet L. Vandermill

Janet L. Vandermill,63, of Watertown, New York, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Fulton Center, Gloversville, New York.

Janet was born on December 17, 1960, in Watertown, New York, the daughter of Robert L. and Sue (Bourcy) Wilton.

Janet graduated from Sackets Harbor Central School in 1979.  On August 20,1982, she married Victor Vandermill in Sulphur Springs.  Janet dedicated herself to various roles, including working at the Jefferson County Bulk Store, also known as the Cheese Store, and later as a waitress at Ann’s Restaurant.

She had a passion for flowers and gardening, and she found solace in the pages of books as she was an avid reader. Janet’s caring nature extended to her family, where she lovingly cared for her mother and son.

She is survived by her son Mark Vandermill of Watertown; her mother Sue Wilton of Watertown; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Michelle Wilton of Watertown; and a sister Donna Wilton of Lisbon. She also has several nieces and nephews.

Janet is predeceased by her father Robert Wilton; a son David Vandermill on January 15, 2007; and her husband Victor Vandermill on July 9, 2007.

Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family in Dexter Cemetery.
