Helen Faust

Helen M. Faust, 93, of Dexter, New York, passed away on April 26, 2024, at the Samaritan Keep Nursing Home.

She was born on November 22, 1930, in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Clarence and Bessie (Bernstiel) Nelligan. Helen married Winfield Faust on October 9, 1948, in Norristown, Pennsylvania. The couple resided in Avondale, Pennsylvania, where Helen was a homemaker and raised her two children. Her husband passed away in 1990. Following her husband’s death, Helen moved to Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, in 1992, to reside with her daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Paul Sibbach. During that time, she worked various jobs including as a waitress and cashier until her retirement. The family spent summers in Dexter, New York, until making it their permanent home in 2021. 

Helen is survived by her daughter, Helen M. and Paul Sibbach of Dexter, New York, and her three siblings, Thomas Nelligan of Pennsylvania, Theresa Rosario of Chicago, and James and Gloria Nelligan of Alabama  

She was predeceased by her parents, a daughter, Linda Thompson, a grandson, John Petrovich, and 11 brothers and sisters. 

Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home. It was Helen’s wish to be cremated, and burial will take place in Pennsylvania.
