Helen Failing

Helen Failing, 91, of Chaumont, NY, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2024, at the Sunnyside Care Center in Syracuse, New York. 

She was born on September 9, 1932, in Wheelersburg, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Goldie (Munion) Justice. Helen graduated from Wheelersburg High School in Ohio.  She married Paul W. Failing on September 28, 1953. She was a dedicated homemaker and later became a substitute mail carrier in Chaumont, NY, before transitioning to full-time employment for 25 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing. 

Among her survivors are her son, Paul M. Failing, of Chaumont, NY and a sister, Ruth Anderson, of Kentucky. 

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul W. Failing, in 2010, a son, Gregory Failing, in 2011, and three brothers, Donald, Clarence "Buck" and Buddie Justice and two sisters, Pauline and Marcella Justice.

Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on June 3rd at the Three Mile Bay Cemetery.
