Bruce M. Ryder

Bruce M. Ryder, 74,  formerly of Dexter, NY, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2024 at the Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.  

Born on October 19, 1949, in Watertown, NY, Bruce was the beloved son of Malcolm and Ethel (Thompson) Ryder. Despite facing special needs throughout his life, Bruce was known for his infectious laughter and warm personality. Bruce attended Rome State School and touched the lives of those around him with his kindness and humor. 

He is survived by a brother, Darren R. Ryder and his sister, Rae A. Tonisson.

Besides his parents he is predeceased by a sister, April L. Talbot.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Johnson Funeral Home. 

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 30, at 11 a.m. in the Dexter Cemetery.
