Boyanski
March 22, 1946 – July 20, 2025
William A. Boyanski, 79, of Brownville, NY, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his beloved family and under the compassionate care of Hospice of Jefferson County.
Born on March 22, 1946, in Watertown, NY, he was the son of the late John and Clara Marie (Baderman) Boyanski. William was a graduate of General Brown High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard, enlisting on June 30, 1964, and being honorably discharged as a Seaman on June 28, 1968. During his service, he was stationed in Charlevoix, Michigan, he earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
It was in Charlevoix where William met the love of his life, Catherine K. Himebauch. The couple married on November 26, 1966, in Michigan. Following his military service, they returned to New York, living briefly on Pillar Point before settling in Brownville, where they made their home for most of their lives.
William was a dedicated employee of Boise Cascade later know as Brownville Specialty Paper Mill until his retirement. He later worked part-time at Price Chopper. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting clocks and lighthouses, passions that brought him joy.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 58 years, Catherine K. Boyanski; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Scott and Amie A. Boyanski of Plessis, NY; a daughter and son-in-law, Virginia "Ginny" and Cris Derouin of Watertown, NY; six cherished grandchildren: Nicholas S. Boyanski, Jacob T. Boyanski, Abigail L. Boyanski, Brandon, Brittney, and Bradley Hart; one great-grandson, Carson Sanders, and a brother and sister in law, Richard and Chris Boyanski, of Clayton, NY and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, a son-in-law, Stephen Hart and a brother Michael Boyanski.
Arrangements are entrusted with Johnson Funeral Home. A memorial service with military honors will be held 11 a.m., Friday, July 25th at the Fellowship Baptist Church 20022 NYS Rt 3, Watertown , (outer Arsenal Street), followed by a luncheon at the church. The burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. in Brownville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in William's memory may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church.
