Pamela A. MacGregor, 68, of Hopewell Junction, NY, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, at the home of her daughter on Pillar Point, NY, where she was under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County and her loving family. She passed away following a courageous battle with metastatic lung cancer, which she had been battling since December 2024. 

Pamela was born on March 9, 1958, in Dobbs Ferry, NY, the daughter of William and Helen (Schiavo) Willis Sr. She graduated from high school in Yorktown, NY, and later received her associate degree from Westchester Community College. 

Pamela lived in LaGrange, NY, where she worked for IBM for more than 40 years. She began her career as a secretary and later transitioned to become an IT Professional, retiring after a long and rewarding career with the company. 

She had a deep love for animals and generously volunteered her time with the Dutchess County SPCA. She also volunteered with Guiding Eyes, where she helped care for dogs being trained to become guide dogs for the blind. Her love for animals continued throughout her life, and she especially cherished her beloved dogs, Chloe and Harley. 

Above all, Pamela loved spending time with her grandchildren and being surrounded by her family. She will be remembered for her love of animals, her dedication to her family, and the many lives she touched throughout her life. 

Among her survivors are her beloved mother and stepfather, Helen and John Detente of Ocala, FL; her three children and their spouses, Jennifer L. and Michael K. Wilton of Pillar Point, NY, Sandra A. and John J. Gerardi of Somers, NY, and Scott C. and Kathryn P. MacGregor of Hopewell Junction, NY; her nine grandchildren, Lacey, Caleb, and Joseph Wilton; Giovanni, Lorenzo, Avalyn, Tristan and Cassidy Gerardi; and Liam MacGregor; a brother and sister-in-law, William and JoAnn Willis Jr. of Peekskill, NY; a niece, Julianne Willis and an aunt, Edith Wergen of Connecticut. 

She was predeceased by her loving father, William Willis Sr. 

Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter, NY. It was Pamela’s wish to be cremated, and there will be no services at this time. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pamela’s memory to the Dutchess County SPCA.
