Obituary

Marie E. Fisk, 90 of Dexter passed away Saturday afternoon at her home under the care of Hospice and her family by her side. Marie was born November 21, 1927 in Watertown, the daughter of Leslie and Dorothy Huffstater Earl.  She graduated from Watertown High School. She married David L. Fisk on March 6, 1951 at St. Paul's' Episcopal Church in Watertown.  The couple moved to Dexter in 1958. Marie was an Account Clerk for NYSDPW , the worked at Sackets Harbor Central School and retired in 1986 from BOCES.  She was a Past President and long-time Treasurer for American Legion Auxiliary in Dexter.  Also was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She is survived by her husband David and five children: Karen Fisk of Watertown, Kathleen Robie of Chaumont, Keitha and Timothy Dupee of Brownville, William and Shelly Fisk of Watertown, David Fisk of Contoocook, NH.  She has fifteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.  A half-sister Josephine Johnson of Belleville also survives. She was predeceased by a granddaughter Erika Dupee Hunt. Funeral services will be Tuesday November 28th at 11:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Rev. Ninon Hutchinson of St. Paul's' Episcopal Church of Brownville officiating.  Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Tuesday and hour prior to the funeral.  Donations may be made to SPCA of Watertown or Hospice of Jefferson County 1398 Gotham St. Watertown, NY 13601.  Online condolences may be made to dexterfuneralhome.com.
