Marcia A. Barrett, 81, a resident at the Carthage Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing passed away November 9, 2018.

Arrangements are with the Hart & Bruce Funeral Home 117 N. Massey St., Watertown.  There will be no calling hours.  A Funeral Mass will be said 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov.14 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.  Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

She was born on September 14, 1937 in Watertown, NY, daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Dyer) Barrett.

She graduated from the NYS School for the Blind in Batavia in 1956. Following school she moved to Syracuse and worked for Nation Wide Insurance Co. for thirty one years as a transcriber, retiring in 1995.  During that time she enjoyed volunteering in the Syracuse Community.

Among her survivors are her sister and brother in law, Catherine C. and Wayne Scott, Millsboro, Delaware, several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she is predeceased by her brother, Charles M. Barrett
