Lawrence P. Adams, 61, of Dexter, New York, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2026, at Samaritan Medical Center.

He was born on April 14, 1965, in Watertown, New York, the son of Lawrence A. and Patricia B. (Youngs) Adams. He attended Watertown High School.

Lawrence had a deep appreciation for working with his hands and enjoyed woodworking, often creating special pieces for his family. In his younger years, he worked on local farms and developed a lifelong interest in small engines, always willing to lend a hand to friends and family with repairs. He also enjoyed riding his moped and spending time outdoors.

He had a great love for animals and cared for many over the years, including his goats, Patches and Little One, and his dogs, Lady, Mya and Timber.

Among his survivors are his longtime companion and friend, Christine Bennett of Dexter; his brother, Ronnie Adams of the Pillar Point; along with extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Beverly P. Adams.

Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, at 11:00 AM at the Dexter United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in Dexter Cemetery.
