IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Kelly A.

Maloy

March 4, 1964 – April 17, 2026

Obituary

Kelly A. Maloy, 62, of LaFargeville, New York, passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2026, at Samaritan Medical Center.

She was born on March 4, 1964, in Watertown, New York, the daughter of William and Shirley (Spring) Maloy. Kelly graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1983.

Kelly spent her entire career in hospitality, working as a waitress at the Ramada Inn, Benny's Steakhouse, Karen and Jasper's Bistro, and most recently at the Dexter Diner. She truly loved her work, and more importantly, she loved her customers—whom she often considered family. If you were Kelly's friend, you were a friend for life.

She enjoyed lively political banter, dining out at local establishments, and trying her luck with scratch-off tickets, where she seemed to have a special touch. Kelly was an avid sports fan, especially devoted to the New York Giants and the New York Yankees, and she also enjoyed watching golf.

Above all, Kelly had a deep love for her animals and cherished her granddaughter, Kenzley, who was the apple of her eye.

Kelly is survived by her three children: Sara Goodnow of Orlando, FL; Julie DeLosh of Orlando, FL; and Daniel Phillips of Watertown, NY; her beloved granddaughter, Kenzley; six siblings and their spouses: Mary (Robert) Roberts of Carefree, AZ; Patricia (Al) Pitts of Rochester, NY; David (Sandy) Maloy of Rossie, NY; Barbara Kane and her companion, Ken Khanzadian, of Syracuse, NY; John (Lisa) Maloy of Antwerp, NY; and Bill Maloy of Antwerp, NY. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved dog, Abby, and cat, Noah.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Johnson Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 21, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home.

A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Gouverneur.
