Obituary

Jane H. Munson, 90 formerly of Dexter, passed away Saturday morning at Carthage Rehab and Nursing Facility. Jane was born March 25, 1929 in Cortland, NY the daughter of Daniel C. and Minerva M. Smith Hall.  She graduated from Watertown High School and also did extension courses at SUNY Potsdam. She married Reginald G. Munson on June 12, 1948 at Emmanuel Congregational Church in Watertown. The couple lived in Watertown and summered on Pillar Point and retired there. Jane worked as Library Assistant at Ohio Street School.  She was a member of Dexter United Methodist Church, Past President of PTA at Ohio Street School, and Relay for Life member, Board of Elections for Jefferson County and Home Bureau. She is survived by sons Stephen and Sherri Munson of Watertown, Scott Munson of Syracuse, daughter Susan Munson and her husband Roy Fulkerson of Watertown.  Grandchildren include: Patrick, Zoel, Jessica, Emilie, Scott, Chris, Whitney, David, Tera, Michelle, Grant, Ashley, Sean, Brittany, Randy, and Angela.  Several great grandchildren and a  brother  Daniel and Pat Hall of Brownville, and nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her husband Reginald on April 3, 1998 and her daughter Sandra Schnorr. Funeral services will be Saturday April 6 th at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter at 4:00 pm with Pastor Jim Hayes officiating.  Burial will be in the spring at Dexter Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2:00-4:00 pm prior to the funeral.  Donations may be made to Flower Memorial Library in Watertown or Relay 4 Life.  Online condolences may be made to dexterfuneralhome.com.
