Helen J. Weaver, age, of Watertown, New York, passed away peacefully November 28, 2024 at the Carthage Rehab and Nursing Center in Carthage, New York.
Born on February 18, 1935, in Lorain, New York, she was the daughter of Harold and Gladys (Benjamin) Remington. Helen graduated from Adams High School in 1954. In 1955, she married Lloyd E. Weaver Jr. on Wesley Island, and together they shared many years of love and devotion. Helen worked as a housekeeper for the EconoLodge and also spent many years employed at Bomax and Calvo in Sackets Harbor.
In her leisure time, Helen enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and took great pride in tending to her large vegetable garden while living in Sackets Harbor. When she later resided at Midtown Towers in Watertown, she became affectionately known as "Mrs. Clean" for her meticulous housekeeping and cleaning the community laundry room.
Helen is survived by her children: Debra and Dennis Lyon of Watertown, NY; Lori Weaver and her companion Howard of Albion, NY; Randy and Susan Weaver of Dexter, NY; and Christopher and Michelle Weaver of Holly, NY. She was a proud grandmother to three grandchildren and one step-grandchild, as well as a great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. Helen is also survived by her sister, Florence Henry of Missouri, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Lloyd, her sister Ruth Holder, and her brothers Lawrence Remington and Donald Remington.
Arrangements are being handled by Johnson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held in the Dexter Cemetery on Friday, May 16th at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County.
