Esther E. Morrow, 89, of Chaumont, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Esther was born on January 20, 1937, in the Town of Clayton, the daughter of Warner and Julia (Martin) Littlefield. She attended school in Lyme until becoming deaf, she then continued her education at Rome School for the deaf, where she proudly graduated as class valedictorian.

On September 20, 1958, Esther married the love of her life, William J. Morrow, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Watertown. Together, they shared 49 years of marriage, raising their family and building a life filled with family, friendships, travel, bowling, and their commitment to the deaf community.

Following her marriage, Esther worked for several local companies before beginning a long career with Northland Electric Motors, where she worked until her retirement in 1995.

Esther was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her family was the center of her life, and she took great pride in watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow. She will be remembered for the love she gave her family and for the many memories she created with them.

Esther and William were founding members of the North Country Club of the Deaf, an organization that became an important part of their lives. Esther served as treasurer for many years: she was also a longtime member of the Ephphetha Parish for the Deaf in Syracuse and attended the Episcopal Church for the Deaf.

Esther and William enjoyed traveling together to bowling tournaments through the National Deaf Senior League. Their dedication to the deaf community extended to local youth as well. In 1990, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern New York presented Esther and William with the Volunteer Service Award in recognition of their contributions to deaf youth in the area.

Esther was also a devoted Syracuse University basketball fan and a longtime Yankees fan. She enjoyed following her favorite teams and sharing those interests with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, James Morrow and his wife, Jo, of Chaumont; Randy Morrow(Melissa Sanford), of Chaumont; and Bonnie Parker, of Chaumont and a daughter-in-law, Amy Morrow of Chaumont , NY. She leaves behind ten grandchildren: Abigail Morrow, Jennifer Sosa, Jay Morrow, Jillesa Morrow, Joseph Morrow, Lindsay Morrow, Timmy Morrow, Danielle Peters, Julia Parker, and Mark Parker; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great grandchild on the way, expected in February. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and brothers- and sisters-in-law. A special friend, Roberta Gordon, with whom she shared a cherished friendship and enjoyed video chatting daily with for years.

Esther was predeceased by her beloved husband, William J. Morrow, on January 23, 2007; her son Thomas, on December 23, 2001; her son John, December 26, 2019; and her son-in-law, Thomas Parker, on October 10, 2021.

Esther leaves behind a family who loved her dearly and will carry her memory in their hearts. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 29,2026 at the Chaumont Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in New Cedar Grove Cemetery. A celebration of life will immediately follow at the Crescent Restaurant, Chaumont.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2026, at Hart & Bruce Funeral Home, Watertown.
