Daniel Lee Dingman, 55 of Dexter passed away July 7, 2016 at Samaritan Keep Home where he had been a resident since September 2005. Daniel was born July 3, 1961 the son of Donald and Donna Gutekunst Dingman. He graduated from General Brown High School in 1980 and Jefferson Community College. Daniel worked as a Repairman/ Dispatcher for TDS Telephone in Chaumont from March of 1987 until September 2000 when he was forced to retire due to progressive MS. He was a member of the Watertown Life Church of the Nazarene and maintained an active faith in Jesus Christ. Dan was a Boy Scout and attained the Eagle Scout Award. He liked the outdoors and hiked in the Adirondacks on many occasions. He is survived by his parents Donald and Donna Dingman of Dexter, two siblings and their spouses: David and Rebecca Dingman of Dexter and Darcy and Robert Slate of Saugerties, NY. He was an uncle to Kathryn Slate of Orlando, FL, Nicholas Slate of Saugerties, Benjamin and Elizabeth Dingman of Dexter. A Celebration of Life will be held July 23rd at the Life Church of the Nazarene 535 Thompson Blvd. Watertown at 11:00 a.m. There will be calling hours at the church from 9:00 to 11:00 prior to the service.
