Obituary

Bonnie Poole Fisher, 85, of Haines City, Florida, and formerly of Watertown and Dexter, New York, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law.

Bonnie was born on September 26, 1940, in Dexter, New York, the daughter of Ivan R. and Julia A. (Sawyer) Poole. She graduated from Dexter High School and, on November 19, 1961, married Lloyd Miller. Together they raised five children before later divorcing.

Bonnie devoted many years of her life to caring for others. She worked as a ward clerk and medical transcriptionist at the House of the Good Samaritan, as well as in local doctors' offices. She later retired from Watertown High School, where she served as an aide.

In 1990, she married Charles E. Fisher. The couple made their home in Watertown, New York, building a life together filled with love and companionship. They enjoyed spending winters in Kissimmee, Florida, and eventually settled in Haines City, Florida.

Bonnie had a passion for traveling, visiting flea markets in Florida, and researching her family genealogy. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister, Dawn Nass of Cicero, New York and by her five children: Joanne M. (Steven) Cummings of Portage, Michigan; Janice (Jerry) Van Antwerp of West Haven, Connecticut; Gregory P. (Elaine) Miller; Michael P. Miller of Frisco, Texas; and Marcus P. (Shari) Miller of Watertown. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Vanessa (Clayton) MacRitchie; Harrison, Francesca, and Sullivan Cummings; Sydney Van Antwerp; William, Andrew, Jacob, and Mary Miller; Olivia (Nick) Chever, Brandon, and Cayla Tiberend; Joshua (Melissa) Chipley; and Zachary Hare; along with several great-grandchildren.

Bonnie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles E. Fisher, on September 19, 2025, as well as by her parents.

Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Noon on  Saturday, July 18th  at the Dexter United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Dexter Cemetery.
