Lucas J. VanSchaick, age 12 passed away 2:15 P.M. Wednesday at Albany Medical Center.
Lucas was born December 9, 1996 in Watertown, N.Y. He attended Goff Middle School in East Greenbush, N.Y. He enjoyed Star Wars, Swimming, Camping, Art and Riding his bike.
He is survived by his mother Mrs. Anthony Lyn Wasiyo of Melrose, N.Y., his father Robert VanSchaick of Palatine Ridge, N.Y., siblings: Jessie Blackwell of Sackets Harbor, Randi Blackwell of Ft. Plain, Anthony Wasiyo of Melrose, maternal grandparents; Ed and Faunta Harris of Parish and Ron and Diane Nier of Sackets Harbor, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday 4:00 P.M. at Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Rev. Linda Harris officiating. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Adams, N.Y. Calling hours will be 3:00-4:00 on Monday. Donations may be made to the Nation Autism Society.
