Douglas W. Stump, age 30 of Pawling St. Watertown died Wednesday morning in a car fire at his home.
Douglas was born January 12, 1978 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Donald and Kay VanNorton Stump. He lived all over the United States and Australia growing up and locally lived in Gouverneur, N.Y. and attended schools all over including a military school in Australia.
He moved to Watertown in 2004 and was Manager of the Rusted Route Bar and Restaurant Route 3 Watertown.
He is survived by his companion Gillian Maitland and their 19 month old daughter Ruby Sinclair Stump of Watertown. His father Donald Stump and his wife JoAnne of Lebanon, PA., his mother and hr husband Kay VanNorton and Greg Poche of Bayview South Wales, Australia and a brother Scott Bacon and wife Andrea of Beacon, N.Y. and sister Mrs. David Heather Bacon- Manthy of Burnt Hills, N.Y.
There will be no funeral service. Calling hours will be from 2-4 on Saturday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. Burial will be in the spring at Brownville Cemetery.
His body will be cremated. Donations may be made to your local Disabled American Veterans Association.
