Dorothy M. Donaldson, age 94 of Star Lake passed away at Clifton-Fine Hospital. She had been residing at the nursing home facility for the past 6 years. Dorothy was former resident of Dexter.
Dorothy was born May 31, 1913 in Brownville. She was the daughter of Howard and Mae Webber White. She graduated from Brownville-Glen Park High School and Dexter Normal for teaching.
She taught for a short time and married G. Douglas Donaldson on February 11, 1933 in Buckingham, Quebec Canada. Mr. Donaldson died October 19, 2000. The couple had owned and operated a farm on the Game Farm Road, Dexter.
Surviving is a son Dennis Donaldson of Dexter, two daughters Donna Austin of Cranberry Lake and Bonnie Goebel of Rochester. She has eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She also has nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Roy White in 1995.
A graveside service will be held in Brownville Cemetery in the spring at a time to be announced. There are no calling hours and donations may be made to the Cranberry Lake Ambulance Fund. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter.
