David A. Baldwin

David A. Baldwin David A. Baldwin, age 59 of County Rte. 53, Watertown, passed away at his home Sunday afternoon. He was taken to Samaritan Medical Center where an autopsy will be performed.

David was born September 8, 1948 in Keokuk, Iowa. He was raised by his grandparents John and Della Reno Stice and graduated from Keokuk High School. In 1970 he entered the Army and served two tours in Viet Nam and also in Germany. He was with HHC 2nd Armored Div. FORSCOM and was discharged as and E-5. He later re-entered the Army serving from 1981 until 1987 serving in electronic warfare /signal intelligence analyst and was discharged as an E-6 at Ft. Devens, MA.

He married Judy Shepard in 1976 in Iowa. He worked as a Truck driver at Ft. Drum and Pony Express and retired due to disabilities from Priority Trucking.

He is survived by his wife Judy; children- Mrs. Michael Kristine Cushman of Watertown, Johnny and Jeffrey Owens both of Texas, stepson Mark Gehring of Virginia. His mother Helen Stice Picton of Keokuk, Iowa, brothers Craig Picton of Iowa and Mark Picton of Pa. and sisters Pam White of Illinois and Lynn LeMaster of Missouri also survive. Two grandchildren Gabrelle Gehring and Zachary Cushman and several nieces and nephews survive him.

A memorial service will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with the Pastor Robert Miskowski of Relevant Church of Watertown officiating. He will be cremated. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to S.P.C.A. of Jefferson County in lieu of flowers.
