Sharon A. Donaldson, age 67 of Mullin Rd. Dexter passed away at her home Thursday 8:00 P.M.
She had been under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
Sharon was born July 27, 1940 in Auburn, N.Y. the daughter of Francis and Jane Peach Stevens. She attended General Brown Central High School and married Dennis D. Donaldson in Adams on June 12, 1960.
The couple have lived on the Mullin Road all their married lives. She worked as a Nurses Aide at Samaritan Keep Nursing Home for several years and has been teaching Tole Painting Courses at Sacred Heart Elementary School and several other locations around the Watertown area.
She is a member of Immaculate Conception Church and a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by her husband Dennis and four children and their spouses: Dennis D. and Linda Donaldson of Dexter, Lori Donaldson-Plantz of Adams, Steve and Carrie Donaldson of Battle Creek Michigan, and Beth and Rodney Stults of Clarksville, Tenn. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. She has a brother Richard Stevens of Weedsport and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother John at birth.
A funeral service will be held Thursday December 27th at 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with Fr. Kevin O’Brien, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church officiating. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 on Wednesday. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, Dexter Ambulance Fund or American Lung Association.
