Michael C. Borland, age 51of Brown Blvd. Brownville passed away at his residence Sunday afternoon. He had been in ill health.
Michael was born October 3, 1956 in Watertown, the son of Gary H. and Dorothy M. Reester Borland.
He graduated from General Brown High School in 1975.
A marriage to Rose Denning ended in divorce.
He worked for Jefferson County Highway Dept. following high school for 30 years and was foreman on several jobs.
He was a member of Watertown Elks Club and the Sons of American Legion Post 588 of Brownville.
He is survived by his companion Candy Lawler of Brownville and two children Carrie Wegart and Michael Borland both of Haynes City, Florida. He also has the following sisters and brother and their spouses- Cindy and Richard Parker of Glen Park, Deborah Boyanski of Watertown, Gary and Lori Borland of Leland, N.C., Amber and George Gordon of Brownville and Vicki Cote of Brownville. He also has three grand daughters.
A funeral service will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter with the Rev. Helen Hadley, pastor of Brownville United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Brownville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. Donations may be made to American Heart and Lung Association.
